Join us for our summer watercolor series at Pine Pond on select Sundays in July and August - come for one, some or all.

For most of us, the goal of artmaking is not to end up on the walls of a museum, but to insert a much-needed pocket of creative play & ease into the everyday.  Each session will start with an abstract exercise or two to warm up and explore a new watercolor technique, followed by plenty of time for personal exploration and instruction.  We will be focused not necessarily on getting things "right" but on individual process and keen observation of the natural world around us.

We will be using each session to explore different landscape elements, but no worries if you miss a session - everyone's creative practice looks a little different and stepping away can be just as valuable as stepping in.

Regular participants will want to have a round watercolor brush in size 6 or 8, a set of good quality watercolors and a watercolor paper pad to start with. More advanced painters may want to add a 1" flat watercolor brush and a small Arches watercolor block for their more finished pieces. Materials will be provided to share for those participating in just a single session.

We have included the option at checkout to purchase a starter set - a round watercolor brush in size 8, a 24 color set of watercolors and a watercolor paper pad. If you're returning from our winter/spring session and would like to purchase additional materials, please send an email to grace@suppliesforcreativeliving.com. All purchased materials will be available to pick up at the start of the first purchased session.

Absolute beginners to watercolor and art making are very welcome. This series is for ages 12+.
