Come join us for our first weaving workshop for kids!

There's nothing cozier than being surrounded by yarn, colors and textures on grey winter day.  Every participant will have their own loom to work on and a treasure chest of yarns and fibers to pick and choose from.   No experience is necessary and all materials are provided.  

This weaving session is three hours long to allow everyone sufficient time to complete a finished piece that is approximately 8 x 10".  Hot chocolate breaks are encouraged anytime after the first hour of the session; participants are also welcome to leave before the end of the session if they complete their piece before the end of the session.

Carole Penner has been weaving for over 20 years and loves to share her love for the craft with both adults and children. Her style of teaching utilizes a "free-flow" approach, in order to allow her students to experiment with color and texture. She believes that everyone can weave and delights in watching children discover their innate ability to create a "painterly" picture with yarns.
