Are you fascinated with the ever-changing sky and tempted to capture its beauty in watercolor? A key building block for any landscape painting, skies are the perfect subject to practice basic watercolor techniques and build your confidence in this medium.

In this pilot workshop, we will learn and practice 3 types of washes to create a simple but effective backdrop, then add & remove elements to the washes to create sky-predominant landscapes.  At the end of the workshop you will have at least one small but complete landscape painting.

This workshop is appropriate for beginners to watercolor, with all materials provided.  Participants may choose to bring some sky reference photos and their own watercolors and preferred paper if desired.

Our Community Offering series is pay-what-you-can or by donation, with each offering taught by a member of our local community.
