In this workshop, participants will learn basic carving techniques, safety and how to work with natural wood grain to reveal a one-of-kind handmade spoon.  We'll explore wood as a creative and meditative medium, and learn how to see winter walks through the eyes of a woodcarver.  Participants are encouraged to bring an open mind and willing hands. 

Wood blanks and carving tools will be provided, no experience is necessary.  

Participants will have the option of purchasing their own tool kits for $40, which come complete with an additional blank for practicing and/or sharing, as well as sandpaper and wax for polishing.
