|Supplies for Creative Living
Gardens are a fantastic canvas for creative expression but it can be hard to know where to start. This timely workshop will focus on creating and implementing a springtime bulb planting design that complements your existing garden.
Time & Location
Sep 19, 2019, 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Supplies for Creative Living, 165 Main Street, Cold Spring, NY, USA
About the event
Bulbs are versatile. They extend the gardening season and can range from low-maintenance naturalizing bulbs, to statement bulbs and bulbs for cutting. We will begin with a quick primer on bulb facts, looking at the ecological conditions where they originate, how they differ from other plants in your garden and planting techniques. Planting design will focus on sequence of bloom, height and color.Â
Bulbs can be ordered at the end of the workshop for subsequent pickup at Supplies for Creative Living. If you are planning to order bulbs and might need assistance, please bring measurements of your garden and photos.
