About the event

***We are currently requiring all participants above the age of 12 in our in-person workshops to be fully vaccinated by the workshop date.  Masks are optional for this workshop. ***

Words can act as a springboard to creating beautiful, inspired and unique visual art.

In this workshop, participants will create an illustration in their own style that is based on an idiom of their choosing- a fun phrase that doesn't mean what it says (examples: "It's raining cats and dogs", "you are what you eat", "In the doghouse," etc.) The literal meaning of the words will serve as inspiration as participants think of playful and clever ways to portray their phrase using mixed media.

This workshop is open to participants ages 14 and up.

FEE:  $50

Participants will be using pencil, ink, colored pencil and watercolor for this workshop.  All materials will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring materials of their own choosing if desired.  No experience is necessary.
