Bring your coffee and join us in the fields for a morning of meditative drawing and observation alongside our equine friends at Topfield Equestrian Center. 

For our first Field Studies session, we'll be experimenting with drawing as a way to record experience, on paper but mostly in our mind's eye, with quick and loose charcoal gesture drawings and lots and lots of erasing. No experience needed.  Participants have the option of joining us for a quick barn tour at the end of the workshop.

We recommend bringing:

• a large sketchbook or paper with hard backing (12"  x 18" or larger)

• L/XL charcoal sticks

• a chamois cloth or soft rag

Need materials? Add them to your cart when you register for the session, we'll have them ready for you to pickup at the beginning of our session.

Session Fee: $35 / participant

Please dress accordingly for autumn weather with layers and perhaps a hat, as we'll be outdoors for the entire session. We'll be doing some walking to and from the fields on unpaved surfaces - sturdy footwear is recommended. Chairs will be available for seating but if you have a folding chair that is especially comfy that you'd like bring, please feel free.
