Join us for this after-school series, where we pluck creatures of all shapes, colors and persuasions out of our dreams and imaginations, and coax them into form - first on paper and then into the 3D form.

Our kid collaborators will be guided in the creation of their own magical creatures, from what they look like, to the worlds they live in and what stories they have to share with us. This 8-session series will dabble in drawing, bookbinding, collage, storytelling, sewing and maybe even a little embroidery.

The majority of materials used will be upcycled, recycled & repurposed.  Children are welcome to bring materials from home (I.e., a cozy sweater they’ve outgrown and want to give a new life).

September 21st through November 9th (8 sessions)

Thursdays 3:30 to 5PM

FEE: $200 / participant + $20 materials fee

All participants will receive a mini hand sewing kit to keep. All materials are provided.

Teresa Tulipano is a writer & artist currently teaching storytelling and creative writing, while finishing a memoir about her family’s life overseas and the music they listen to.  Teresa grew up in England and the Republic of Panama but has lived all around the globe.  She now makes her home in the Catskills with her cats, Sailor & Scout.  

Susan Trotiner-Conway is an artist, with a background in fashion design & illustration.  She lives in Cold Spring with her family & pets and is currently working on ceramics & designing dresses for herself.  She spends part of her week behind and around the counter at Supplies for Creative Living.
