About the event
Join us for our fourth(!) round of our most favorite series (formerly named A Daily Practice), as we explore and invent new ways to play, dream and journal with watercolors, ink & pencil.
For most of us, the goal of artmaking is not to end up on the walls of a museum, but to insert a pocket of creative play & exploration into our everyday lives. Over the course of this series, we'll use the pages of our respective sketchbooks to deepen our connection to our outer worlds, tap into the richness of our mysterious inner worlds and maybe even begin to forge new paths and habits for the new year. Each weekend morning session starts with an exercise or two to add to your creative toolbox, and we'll share as a group what worked, what we discovered and what gave us a creative thrill or pause.
Worried about missing a session or two? We'll be sending out weekly emails with each week's exercises and mentioned resources to help keep us all together through the winter months.
Whether you aspire to a daily art practice as a way ground and relax or to record your morning coffee or garden, we think A Creative Practice helps answer the never-ending question of how to keep going after you've started. Having some experience with watercolors will be helpful but not required.
